What you can expect in a day in this role:
As Landscape’s Head Chef, you’ll bring the culinary vision, expert leadership and be hands-on in daily operations with the support of the Hunter Street Precinct Executive Chef. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, mentoring a passionate team, and upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Additionally, your key responsibilities will be to:
Collaborate closely with the Hunter Street Precinct Executive Chef to align culinary standards, share resources, and drive innovation
Lead seasonal menus changes that showcase Tasmanian produce and wood-fired grill techniques
Manage kitchen budgets, food costing, and supplier relationships
Recruit, onboard, train and nurture new kitchen staff
Champion a positive, respectful, and performance-driven kitchen culture
Ensure compliance with food safety and Federal Group’s ethical standards
Collaborate with front-of-house and events teams to ensure seamless service
To the role you will bring:
Proven experience as a Head Chef in fine dining environments with expertise in contemporary cooking and wood-fired grill techniques.
Strong leadership and team-building skills in premium restaurant environments
Passion for Tasmanian produce and hospitality excellence
A flexible approach to working across a rotating roster, including nights, and weekends – perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment
Certificate III or above in Commercial Cookery
