About Country Club and the new Championship Golf Course:  

At Country Club Tasmania, we’re building something truly special a new championship golf course designed to rival some of the world’s best. 

Created by globally respected architect Robin Gibson, our new par 72, 18-hole Championship Course will be situated within a beautifully landscaped parkland precinct, inspired by some of the finest courses in North America and the UK. Make no mistake, what’s coming is a landmark in every sense of the word. It’s a course that rewards thoughtful play and invites golfers to return again and again.   

Scheduled to open in Summer 2026/27, it will offer a visually stunning and challenging experience, and we’re now looking for experienced retail sales assistants to join our Golf Shop team!

What you can expect in a day in the role:

Every day will bring new opportunities to create memorable moments for our guests. You’ll be one of the welcoming faces of Country Club Tasmania, delivering warm, down-to-earth service. You can expect to be doing any of the following:

• Welcoming guests and assisting with bag drop, golf cart preparation and allocation, directions and course information
• Preparing, cleaning and staging of golf carts, equipment, practice facilities and outside service areas so they are safe and guest-ready
• Supporting the smooth flow of players from arrival through to tee-off, including marshalling and pace-of-play assistance
• Completing routine cart checks and assist with the secure return, charging and storage of carts and equipment
• Working closely with the Golf Shop, Golf Operations, The Range, Front Office and Greenkeeping teams to deliver a consistent guest experience
• Assisting with group, corporate, competition and event-based golf operations while maintaining presentation and safety standards throughout the day.

What you’ll bring to the role:

You’ll bring a genuine excitement for guest service, with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs and make the details count. With a love of hospitality and a practical, team-focused approach, you’ll help create the welcoming experiences at the Championship Golf Course is known for, along with:

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, recreation, tourism, retail, operations or another guest-facing environment.
• A practical, hands-on attitude and the ability to work safely, follow procedures and maintain strong presentation standards.
• Reliability, attention to detail and the flexibility to respond calmly to changing priorities in an outdoor operational environment.
• The ability to work collaboratively, take direction and escalate maintenance, safety or guest concerns appropriately.
• A Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is required.
•  A current driver’s licence and experience in golf, sport, recreation, resort operations or high-volume events will be highly regarded.
