About Country Club and the new Championship Golf Course:  

At Country Club Tasmania, we’re building something truly special a new championship golf course designed to rival some of the world’s best. 

Created by globally respected architect Robin Gibson, our new par 72, 18-hole Championship Course will be situated within a beautifully landscaped parkland precinct, inspired by some of the finest courses in North America and the UK. Make no mistake, what’s coming is a landmark in every sense of the word. It’s a course that rewards thoughtful play and invites golfers to return again and again.   

Scheduled to open in Summer 2026/27, it will offer a visually stunning and challenging experience, and we’re now looking for experienced retail sales assistants to join our Golf Shop team!

What you can expect in a day in the role:   

In this customer-facing role, you’ll help create a welcoming and memorable Golf Shop experience for every guest, this will include:

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly, professional service in the new Golf Shop
• Assisting with customer enquiries, product information, golf check-in and tee-time bookings
• Process point-of-sale transactions accurately across retail, golf and grab-and-go purchases
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays and a well-stocked, clean, organised and welcoming shop environment
• Identify opportunities to promote relevant products, services and upcoming golf activities
• Support smooth customer flow during busy periods and escalate complex enquiries when needed.

What you’ll bring to the role:   

• You’ll bring a customer first approach, reliability and the confidence to work across retail, service and golf-related enquiries
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, leisure or another customer-facing service environment
• Experience using point-of-sale systems and processing customer transactions accurately
• Experience maintaining merchandise displays, stock levels or the presentation of a customer service area
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach to customer service.
• Previous experience in a golf shop, golf club, driving range, sporting venue or similar leisure environment would be highly regarded.

As well as the following licences and qualifications: 

• Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
