Federal Hospitality encompasses a wide group of impressive and nationally acclaimed brands including MACq01, Henry Jones Art Hotel, Saffire, Wrest Point Casino, Country Club Tasmania and 12 community hotels under the Vantage Group.  

Join us as we grow our Workplace Health and Safety team, we are now seeking applications for WHS Business Partners (WHS BP) in both the South and North of Tasmania.  

• WHS BP South – based at Wrest Point Hotel & Casino in Hobart. 

• WHS BP North – based at Country Club Tasmania in Prospect Vale. 

Our Business Partners will play a key role in creating safe, exceptionally maintained, and welcoming properties for all guests, visitors and staff.  

What can you expect from a day in this role?  

The WH&S Business Partner supports the effective implementation and management of workplace health and safety practices across multiple hospitality sites, reporting to the WHS Manager. Acting as a trusted liaison between operational teams and WHS management, this role facilitates compliance with relevant legislation and company policies while promoting a proactive safety culture.   

The WH&S Business Partner works collaboratively with site management and staff across Tasmania to identify risks, manage hazards, and foster continuous improvement in WHS performance.  

What will you bring to the role?  

You’ll be an experienced WHS Business Partner or equivalent role, who is excited to work with Tasmania’s largest private employer. You’ll bring experience and expertise across the breadth of workplace health and safety, including but not limited to:  

• Acting as the first point of contact for WHS queries and issues at assigned venues, providing practical advice and support to managers and employees in the areas of WHS, food safety and environment.  

• Assisting in the implementation and communication of WHS policies, procedures, and management plans, ensuring understanding and compliance at site level.  

• Collaborating with operational leaders to embed safety standards into daily activities and business processes.  

• Assisting in incident investigation and reporting, coordinating with the WHS Manager to ensure thorough analysis and appropriate corrective actions.  

• Supporting consultation processes through participation in WHS committees and working groups, fostering open communication and employee involvement.  

 You'll also bring tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety such as a Certificate IV or above and demonstrated professional experience.
