What you can expect in a day in this role:
As a Storyteller at MACq 01 Hotel and The Henry Jones Art Hotel, you’ll bring Tasmania’s characters, history, art and culture to life through engaging tours and meaningful guest interactions. You’ll connect with guests throughout their stay, deliver private experiences for tour groups and cruise visitors, and work closely with hotel and marketing teams to support events, exhibitions, industry familiarisations and promotional activity. Through every interaction, you’ll help share our unique stories and create genuine connections to place that leave a lasting impression.
What you will bring to the role:
You’re a natural communicator who loves connecting with people and bringing stories to life. You’re confident, warm and engaging, with an interest in Tasmania’s past, present and future.
You’ll also bring:
Experience in a highly guest‑focused role (tourism, hospitality or similar)
An interest or background in Tasmanian history, culture, art or heritage
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confidence presenting to individuals and large groups
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work across shifts, including weekends and public holidays
