What can you expect from a day in this role? 

As a casual Reservations Agent in our Southern Reservations Hub covering bookings for Wrest Point Hotel & Casino, MACq01 and Henry Jones Art Hotel, you’ll be the first point of contact for accommodation bookings. You’ll manage enquiries, coordinate details, and work closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure every booking runs like clockwork. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Respond to reservation enquiries via phone and email from guests, travel agents, and corporate clients 

• Process reservations, amendments, and cancellations accurately and efficiently 

• Communicate special requests, and VIP arrangements to relevant departments 

• Handle guest complaints professionally, escalating when appropriate 

• Build knowledge of room types, rates, and packages to support upselling 

• A flexible approach to working shift work, including early morning starts and late-night finishes, across a seven-day roster 

• Strong computer skills, ideally with knowledge in use of a computerised reservations system or similar

You radiate a genuine passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences, with an instinctive ability to anticipate needs and go above and beyond expectations. Your proven background in customer service means you bring the following: 

• Clear, confident communication: whether you're speaking with guests or crafting thoughtful written messages, your words build trust and connection. 

• A respect for brand standards and structured booking approaches: ensuring every interaction is both authentic and delivers a strong brand experience 

Ideally, you’ll have demonstrated experience working in customer service, reservations or sales from a hospitality, tourism or events environment.
