About The Hotel Valern

What you can expect in a day in the role:

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be expected to be hands-on with the daily operations, including gaming, accommodation, food and beverage across the hotel. You’ll lead and manage a close-knit team during your shift, always ensuring exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships within the community. 

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead the on-shift team to provide memorable customer service and experiences
• Ensure health, safety, gaming and hotel operations procedures are followed 
• Assist with staff scheduling and break management in coordination with the Hotel Manager 
• Assist with handling complaints and issues, as required

What you will bring to the role:

With experience in bar and gaming operations within hospitality or a related industry, you’ll bring a positive attitude and a hands-on approach. We’re looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service, ideally in food, beverage, and gaming environments.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and build positive working relationships as part of a team.
• Solid, up-to-date gaming knowledge, including relevant legislation and regulations within the hospitality industry.
• Flexibility to work a range of morning, night and weekend shifts, including public holidays.
• Current RSA and RCG certificates, or the ability to obtain them.
