What you can expect in a day in this role:

As a Demi Chef, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality food products and service to our guests. Working under general supervision, you’ll maintain standards, follow recipes, and ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment. You’ll also have opportunities to supervise and train other kitchen staff.

Some of your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and adhere to health and safety policies.
• Follow kitchen recipes and operational par levels.
• Support and train other kitchen team members when required.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

What you will bring to the role:

To succeed in this role, you’ll be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, while confidently handling the physical demands of the position.

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) and:

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment (3 or more years would be ideal)
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays. 

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
