What can you expect in a day in this role:
As part of the maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring our suites, guest spaces, and surrounding grounds are maintained to the impeccable standard that defines the Saffire experience. With exceptional attention to detail, you will help create an environment that is consistently pristine, functional, and beautifully presented. As our Painter, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing surfaces for painting including cleaning, sanding and repairing as needed
Applying paint or other finishes to variety of surfaces such as walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures
Ensure smooth, even coverage and a premium-quality finish
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and Saffire’s high standards
Assisting with other tasks such's as furnishes restoration, staining and varnishing and other tasks around the property
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work via the Property Management System
What you will bring to the role:
Along with a professional demeanour and ability to multitask, you will bring the following:
Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a hotel or guest service environment
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, highly desirable but not essential
Knowledge of various painting techniques, tools and materials
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent colour perception; and
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
