About The Claremont Hotel:

Located right on the Main Road in Claremont, The Claremont Hotel (or The Mont as the locals call it) is a go-to spot for a great meal or a relaxed drink with family and friends. With a cosy lounge bar, family-friendly bistro and a gaming room, there’s something for everyone at The Mont.

The Claremont Hotel is part of the Vantage Group, which operates 12 venues across Tasmania offering great food, drinks, entertainment and hospitality experiences.

What you can expect in a day in the role:

Under the supervision of the head chef, you will be working in a fast-paced kitchen, assisting with the following:

• Washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary
• Assisting chefs by chopping, peeling, or preparing ingredients
• unpacking and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Running errands in the kitchen, helping with plating dishes, or carrying out other tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Along with a positive can-do attitude, strong communication skills and willingness to learn you will also have:

• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, public holidays (please note this role will require split shifts)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Adaptable and flexible with excellent time management skills

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
