What you can expect in a day in the role:
The Head of Financial Crime is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing an effective Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) framework and programs for Federal Group’s Casino and Gaming Operations in Tasmania. The role safeguards the Group from financial crime, regulatory and reputational risk while enabling sustainable business by providing pragmatic AML/CTF advice, oversight and challenge to the first line of defence.

Monitoring legislative landscape
AML/CTF Framework & Governance
Regulatory Liaison & Reporting
Transaction Monitoring, Investigations & KYC Oversight
Advisory, Training & Culture
Assurance, Testing & Continuous Improvement
What you’ll bring to the role:
Significant experience in AML/CTF, financial crime or regulatory compliance, ideally within casinos, gaming, wagering, hospitality, financial services or similarly regulated industries.
Demonstrated experience engaging with AUSTRAC or other financial crime regulators and managing regulatory queries, reviews or remediation programs.
Proven track record in developing and implementing AML/CTF frameworks, policies and risk assessments in a complex, multisite operational environment.
Experience leading or overseeing KYC, transaction monitoring, investigations and suspicious matter reporting.
Tertiary qualification in law, finance, commerce, criminology, business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
