What you can expect in a day in this role:

As a Guide at Saffire Freycinet you will be involved in running a wide variety of tours, including, but not limited to, walks through Freycinet National Park, scenic Boat Cruises, Kayaking Tours, Birdwatching tours, Bespoke Whisky and Wine tours to some of Tasmania’s most celebrated wineries/distilleries, and working with endangered Tasmanian Devils in a world class enclosure. Importantly you will be a point of knowledge for our guests, many of whom are living out their dream to see Tasmania’s wild and rugged East Coast in a Luxury setting.

What you will bring to the role: 

• Proven experience working as a guide,
• A passion for the outdoors and comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions,
• Flexibility and reliability to work across a variety of shifts which may include 10 hour days,
• A current Tasmanian driver's license with Public Passenger Vehicle provision,
• Working with Vulnerable People (or ability to obtain)
• Elements of Shipboard Safety; ESS (or willing to obtain),
• A First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain),
• Previous experience working with animals,
• You’ll be a strong swimmer, in good physical condition, capable of walking 10km and lifting 25kg with ease,
• Equipment maintenance and familiarisation with basic tools and repairs.

This role is in a beautiful remote Tasmanian location, but still only a two hour drive away from Hobart and Launceston.
