What you can expect in a day in the role:
To maintain and conduct Federal Hospitality’s liquor and gaming compliance programs and associated activities to maximise compliance and minimise organisational risk. This role ensures that all venues operate in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, and relevant company policies and procedures. The Gaming Compliance Manager plays a key role in safeguarding the integrity of gaming and liquor operations and supporting a culture of compliance across the organisation.
The key responsibility areas of this role, include but are not limited to:
Ensuring compliance with the Gaming Control Act 1993 (Tas), Liquor Licensing Act 1990 (Tas), and related regulations.
Monitoring legislative changes, assess impacts, and implement required updates.
Maintain the Gaming Compliance Framework and update policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Managing gaming & liquor licences (businesses), permits, and regulatory submissions; oversee the Gaming Compliance Register.
Advising senior management and the Board on reforms and emerging risks; liaise with regulators and industry bodies.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in gaming compliance within casino operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage compliance programs and conduct audits.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with interstate gaming programs and regulatory environments.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, business, risk management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
