What you can expect in a night in this role:
As a Permanent Part-Time Night Duty Manager, you’ll support the Front Office Manager in leading overnight operations, ensuring the Front Office and wider hotel run smoothly. Working overnight from 11:00pm to 7:00am on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, you will be the most senior leader on shift, taking full ownership of the hotel and ensuring all departments operate efficiently while delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.
In this role, you will combine operational leadership with core Night Auditor responsibilities, including completing end-of-day financial reconciliations, balancing accounts, and preparing daily reports for management. You will manage late-night guest arrivals and departures, respond to guest enquiries, and resolve any issues with professionalism and care.
What you will bring to the role:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel Front Office (ideally as a Night Audit)
Current full manual Driver’s License is essential
Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
Exceptional cash handling, financial auditing and bookkeeping skills
Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience using a Property Management System (PMS), preferably RMS
First Aid Certificate, or the ability to obtain
Availability to work Tuesday and Wednesday night shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am), with flexibility to pick up additional shifts as required.
