This is a rare opportunity to step into a People & Culture Manager role supporting three of Tasmania’s most distinctive luxury hospitality brands: MACq 01 Hotel, The Henry Jones Art Hotel and Saffire Freycinet.

As People & Culture Manager, you will play a key role in supporting, developing and enabling these teams to do their best work, while helping foster a culture where people feel empowered to be authentic, attentive and intuitive.

What does being the People & Culture Manager involve? 

At Federal Hospitality, we believe great guest experiences start with great employee experiences. When our people feel valued, supported and connected to their work, it shows in the service they provide. 

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, and leading a People & Culture Business Partner, you will work closely with hotel and operational leaders to deliver people-focused HR support across the full employment lifecycle. 

This includes: 

  • Onboarding and employee experience 

  • Learning, development and capability building 

  • Performance, conduct and employee relations 

  • Workforce planning and organisational change 

  • Culture, engagement and leadership support 

 

In this role, you will support a portfolio of more than 300 employees across three premium hospitality properties. You will build trusted relationships with leaders and team members, provide sound advice, and help deliver people outcomes that support both the employee experience and the guest experience. 

 

This is a hands-on partnering role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business, understands the pace of hospitality, and can move confidently between strategic conversations and practical day-to-day support. 

 

What will you bring to the team? 

This role will be a perfect fit for someone who is equally as comfortable playing a hands-on role as they are developing key stakeholder relationships. 

To be successful in securing this role you will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource management, or a related discipline 

  • Experience navigating sensitive Employee and Industrial Relations matters 

  • Self-motivation, you will work independently and be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities 

  • Experience in working across the full suite of HR services 

  • Strong organisation skills to match this fast-paced and diverse environment 

  • Resilience, independence and strong interpersonal skills 

 

This role involves regular travel to Saffire Freycinet, therefore the ability to travel is essential.
