What you can expect in a day in this role:

Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a range of duties that support the smooth operation of the kitchen, including but not limited to:

  • Food preparation and cooking to a consistent standard
  • Upholding food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance at all times
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and general upkeep of kitchen areas
  • Working across all sections of the kitchen as required
  • Assisting with stock rotation and minimising waste
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

This role requires a positive attitude, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong team focus.

 

What you will bring to the role: 

Successful candidates will have a trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery) alongside:

  • A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
  • Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment
  • The ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
