About MACq01 and The Story Bar

MACq 01 is a Federal Group luxury property that blends premium accommodation with immersive storytelling. Our halls are alive with history, art, and character, connecting guests to the true spirit of Tasmania. At The Story Bar, warmth and hospitality meet an energetic, engaging atmosphere. It’s a space where Hobartians and visitors alike come to unwind, relax, and share a story or two while indulging in Tasmania’s finest – premium spirits, craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Join a team that turns every interaction into a memorable chapter. If you’re passionate about exceptional service and thrive in a vibrant, storytelling culture, this is your opportunity to be part of something truly unique.

You’ll ensure the venue operates efficiently within budget and regulatory requirements, while consistently delivering outstanding guest experiences. Working closely with our Food and Beverage Manager and the broader venue management team, you’ll help shape and enhance an authentic dining and drinking experience that celebrates the spirit of Tasmania.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Practical experience in rostering to budget, managing stock, and forecasting
  • Competence in creating and managing beverage and cocktail lists
  • Understanding of menu engineering principles
  • Strong computer literacy and operational systems knowledge
