Working in one of Tasmania’s most stunning locations, on the waterfront just outside the Hobart CBD at Wrest Point, you will join our motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition team.   

Federal Group encompasses a wide group of impressive brands including COPE Sensitive Freight, MACq01, Henry Jones Art Hotel, Saffire, Wrest Point Hotel & Casino, Country Club Tasmania,12 community hotels under the Vantage Group, as well as TASkeno, Odyssey and corporate support teams.  

What can you expect from a day in this role?  

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this newly created Talent Acquisition Specialist role supports leadership of the Talent Acquisition team whilst managing a portfolio of recruitment. 

You'll be confident to deliver end-to-end recruitment across a specified portfolio which may include any of Federal Group’s corporate, hospitality and transport operations. You’ll also own and execute specialised programs of work that improve talent attraction, candidate experience, hiring manager capability, and compliance outcomes.  

The Talent Acquisition Team are a specialist team which includes two Talent Acquisition Advisors and a Manager, working as part of the People & Culture Department and working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 

On any day, you can expect to be working on any of the following: 

• Employer branding initiatives and careers website content updates 

• Sourcing and pipeline programs 

• Application Tracking System (PageUp) enhancements 

• Hiring manager enablement 

• Compliance adherence improvement 

• Candidate experience continuous improvement  

What will you bring to the team?   

You'll thrive working in an environment that is fast paced, dynamic and subject to competing and changing priorities. Along with your experience working in agency or internal recruitment you will bring: 

• Demonstrated success in leading and executing end-to-end recruitment processes 

• In-depth knowledge of sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and employer branding 

• A strong understanding of data analytics and reporting, coupled with an interest in continuous improvement 

• Experience leading change management projects coupled with strong stakeholder engagement skills 

• Ability to find process bottlenecks and recruitment market challenges and devise programs to solve problems proactively 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and manage diverse stakeholders
