About the Derwent Tavern:

Situated along the Derwent River in Bridgewater, with an iconic view of the new bridge, the Derwent Tavern is a local gem. With a bar, gaming facilities and function area, the Derwent Tavern is part of Federal Hospitality, one of Tasmania’s largest private employers.

What you can expect in a day in the role:

As a bar and gaming attendant, you will be pouring delicious drinks for our guests, engaging with our gaming patrons by answering their questions, ensuring they're having a great time, and delivering fantastic customer service to all of our guests.

To succeed in this position, you will have:                                                      

• Exceptional customer service skills, preferably gained from previous experience working in gaming/hospitality.
• Reliability and the flexibility to work a variety of night and weekend shifts, which may include public holidays.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and a current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificate.

What you’ll bring to the role:

We’re looking for someone with a great attitude, initiative, and a team player mindset, as well as:

• Demonstrated cash handling proficiency 
• Knowledge of all gaming machine regulations, compliance, operations, and procedures 
• An understanding of food & beverage products and services 
• A professional & mature “can do” attitude with the ability to work autonomously 
• Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming Certificate (RCG) or willing to obtain 
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)  
   

A successful candidate in this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
