What you can expect in a day in this role:

As Junior Sous Chef, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the leadership of our high-performing kitchen team. Working closely with the Executive Chef, you’ll help deliver exceptional dining experiences that celebrate Tasmania’s finest seasonal produce. You’ll assist with the smooth running of daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. In addition, you’ll contribute creative ideas to menu development, uphold strict food safety and hygiene practices, and mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing kitchen environment.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality
• Strong technical skills and a passion for contemporary cooking styles
• Leadership ability and a collaborative approach to mentoring
• A desire to learn, develop, and continuously improve
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• A vehicle and driver’s licence (preferred)

This role is in a beautiful remote Tasmanian location, but still only a two hour drive away from Hobart and Launceston.
