The Mont is Claremont’s favourite place to meet for a good bistro meal, catch up with family or friends or a drop in for a drink. We have extensively renovated and look fantastic! Whether our guests are here for a beer after a long day of work, or in need of a morning coffee catchup with friends, our public bar and lounge spaces are the perfect place to gather.
Open 8am-12pm every day (11pm on Sundays), our guests can pop in any time for drinks, nibbles, or for a flutter in our new gaming room. Or, stay the night at one of our comfy rooms only 20 minutes from the Hobart CBD.

What you can expect in a day in the role:
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be expected to be hands-on with the daily operations, including gaming, accommodation, food and beverage across the Hotel. You’ll lead and manage a close-knit team during your shift, always ensuring exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships within the community.
Your duties will include, but not limited to;
Lead the on shift team to provide memorable customer service and experience
Ensure health, safety, gaming and hotel operations procedures are followed
Assist with staff scheduling and break management in coordination with the Hotel Manager
Assisting with handling complaints and issues, as required
What you will bring to the role:
Demonstrated practical experience in the delivery of quality customer service, preferably in the areas of food and beverage, and gaming
Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
Well-rounded, current gaming knowledge, and applied knowledge of relevant legislation/regulations applicable to the hospitality industry
Availability and flexibility to work a variety of night and weekend shifts which may include public holidays
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificates, or the ability to obtain.
A successful applicant to the role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
