What you can expect from a day in this role:
As the Food & Beverage Manager at Saffire Freycinet, you will take an active leadership role in overseeing the seamless delivery of all food and beverage operations, with a strong emphasis on creating exceptional guest experiences. This is a dynamic opportunity for a passionate, service-focused professional to lead and motivate our team, uphold the highest standards of quality and hospitality, and work closely with the culinary team to deliver unforgettable, world-class dining moments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Running the daily operations of our restaurant and bar in collaboration with the senior Food & Beverage team
Working closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to create wine matching for meals
Maintaining a strong presence on the floor, ensuring consistent, high-quality guest interactions
Lead, train, and inspire the food & beverage team to deliver five-star service
Managing all aspects of recruitment, rostering and performance management
Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
Developing departmental budget and business plan to maximise profitability and ensure contribution to property success.
What you will bring to the role:
Experience working in a luxury lodge environment or similar
A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role in hospitality
Excellent food and wine knowledge, with a passion for guest engagement
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
A commitment to staff development and a positive team culture
Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and evenings
A proactive attitude and dedication to continuous improvement
Reliable vehicle and driver's Licence (preferred, due to remote location)

This role is in a beautiful remote Tasmanian location, but still only a two hour drive away from Hobart and Launceston.
Our staff have access to live in subsidised and fully-furnished accommodation in Tasmania’s breathtaking Freycinet National Park which is located only 10 minutes drive from holiday town, Coles Bay. You can also expect access to Wi-Fi, gym, entertainment and BBQ facilities at the employee accommodation site, as well as a complimentary meal on your shift.
