About Vantage Group

Vantage Group operates across Tasmania through community-based hotels, employing over 400 people state-wide. The Vantage Group comprises of 12 venues around Tasmania, which provide a combination of bar, gaming, bistro, accommodation, and entertainment services to our customers. Established in 1999, Vantage Group is all about creating good times and our vision is to be the first choice in community pubs.

What you can expect in a day with Vantage:  

Our pubs, hotels, and bars are buzzing with fun and entertainment, offering something for everyone. Our southern hotels include The Claremont Hotel, The Derwent Tavern, The Brooker, The Elwick Hotel, Hotel Valern, and The Waterfront Hotel.

With state-of-the-art electronic gaming, welcoming bistros, and friendly bars, we’re excited to welcome new Food and Beverage Attendants in our Bars or Bistros leading into summer.

As a Food and Beverage Attendant in our Bars or Bistros, you’ll be:

• Delivering excellent guest service with a smile
• Taking customer food and beverage orders efficiently
• Assisting with gaming enquiries, guest service, and payouts
• Keeping our venues clean, tidy, and welcoming for all guests
• Helping open and close venues smoothly

What you will bring to Vantage:

Bar and gaming experience is a bonus, but what we’re really looking for are people who are keen to learn, happy to work as part of a team, take initiative, and bring a great attitude to work. You’ll need to be comfortable chatting and working with all sorts of people, from locals to visitors. You will also need:

• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• A current Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), or the ability to secure one
• The availability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Team attitude and collaborative approach to work
• Experience with TAB and Keno (an advantage)

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
