About Vantage Group

Vantage Group operates across Tasmania through community-based hotels, employing over 400 people state-wide. The Vantage Group comprises of 12 venues around Tasmania, which provide a combination of bar, gaming, bistro, accommodation, and entertainment services to our customers. Established in 1999, Vantage Group is all about creating good times and our vision is to be the first choice in community pubs.

What you can expect in a day with Vantage  

Our pubs and bars are full of fun and entertainment, and have something for everyone. Our 2 Launceston properties are the Newstead Hotel, located just outside the city, and Hotel Tasmania, in the heart of Launceston. With state-of-the-art electronic gaming, comfortable bistros, and friendly bars, we are ready to welcome new Bar & Gaming and Bistro Attendants across the properties.

In a day as a Bar & Gaming or Bistro Attendant, you can expect to be completing the following:

• Providing excellent guest service across our venue
• Taking customer food and beverage orders
• Gaming enquiries, guest service and payouts
• Cleaning duties to keep our venues neat and tidy for guests
• Opening and closing venues in a safe manner

What you will bring to Vantage:

While bar and gaming experience is an advantage, we are looking for people who are willing to learn and work as a team, show initiative, bring a great attitude to work, and have the ability to work with people from all walks of life is essential. You will also need:

• A current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• A current Tasmanian Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), or the ability to secure one
• The availability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Work great as a team and collaborative approach to work
• Experience with TAB and Keno (an advantage)

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
