As we continue to evolve and invest in technology across the Group, we're looking for an experienced Procurement Category Manager to help drive strategic sourcing and supplier outcomes.

About the Role
As Procurement Category Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and ongoing management of category strategies across Federal Group's technology and related supplier portfolios.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll partner closely with Technology Services, project teams and business stakeholders to ensure procurement activities deliver value, support business objectives and effectively manage supplier and contractual risk. You'll work across the full procurement lifecycle, from identifying sourcing opportunities and leading tender processes through to contract negotiation, supplier management and ongoing performance reviews.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a complex and fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll lead and support procurement initiatives across the Group, working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop sourcing strategies and identify solutions that deliver improved commercial outcomes.

The role will see you managing tender processes, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You'll also monitor existing agreements, review supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and strengthen value delivery across your category portfolio. A key focus will be ensuring procurement activities are transparent, commercially sound and aligned with organisational policies and objectives.

What You'll Bring

You'll bring experience in procurement and contract management, along with the ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes across a broad range of stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement activities from planning through to implementation. You'll be comfortable analysing information, navigating competing priorities and working independently to achieve results.

Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded, as will experience in strategic sourcing, category management or contract management environments.
