About The Elwick Hotel:

A part of The Vantage Hotel group that comprises 12 community-based hotels around Tasmania. The Ewick hotel is located in the heart of Glenorchy, was established in 1904, making it over 120 years old. Situated on Main Road, the hotel has been a central part of the Glenorchy community for many years and has maintained its historical charm while serving as a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

What you can expect in a day in this role:

In this role, you will be responsible for attending to inquiries from our gaming patrons, preparing and dispensing beverages, and providing exceptional customer service.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

• Managing and maintaining gaming functions and operations
• Managing TAB functions
• Day-to-day operations of gaming rooms
• Assisting patrons with both food and beverage orders, inquiries and complaints
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards

What you will bring to the role:

Along with excellent customer service and the ability to take initiative, you will have:

• Demonstrated cash handling proficiency
• Knowledge of all gaming machine regulations, compliance, operations, and procedures
• An understanding of food & beverage products and services
• A professional & mature “can do” attitude with the ability to work autonomously
• Current Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate (RSG)
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
• Keno Writer & Gaming Machine Attendant or Senior Keno Writer and Gaming Machine Supervisor Certificates and TAB would be advantageous

Please note that to be successful in this role, you need to be able to work a variety of night and weekend shifts, which may include public holidays.

A successful candidate in this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
