What you can expect in a day in this role:
Leading the four Bars in our Entertainment Precinct at Wrest Point Hotel and Casino, this is an exciting new role charged to lead guest experience excellence with our team. You’ll oversee the Birdcage, Casino, Forte and Green Room Bars, all of which bring a diverse mix of guests to the venue. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Entertainment Precinct Manager, this position manages the day-to-day operations of the Entertainment Precinct Bar outlets with a hands-on approach to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, responsible service of alcohol, and the achievement of maximum profitability in line with Wrest Point’s strategic goals.
As this role oversees multiple Bar operations, we do require a span of hours and days in this full-time role to ensure strong support and leadership across the week, including Friday and Saturday nights until the 3am close.
What you will bring to the role:
Your previous experience leading diverse teams to achieve a seamless guest experience in a hospitality environment will see you shine in this position. You will also bring to the role:
Strong demonstrated experience in hospitality management and leadership. You'll be a strong coach able to guide team members to achieve outcomes through feedback and support.
Excellent experience in cocktail and drink design and the ability to leverage this into an appealing and current offering for our guests.
Proven ability to provide high level customer service and resolve any elevated customer issues
Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a positive manner.
Proven experience working in line with WHS, HACCP Food & Safety and Covid Safety requirements.
Diploma level qualification in Hospitality management or equivalent demonstrated working experience, as well as a current Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG).
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
