About Hotel Federal:

Featuring a gaming lounge with 30 state-of-the-art gaming machines, local entertainment, and a burger bar, it truly stands out as a premier destination for locals, tourists, and passers-by.  

What you can expect in a day in this role:

Flip, stack, and sizzle your way to burger greatness! In our fast-paced kitchen, you'll be the team member behind our legendary burgers and mouthwatering eats. With the Head Cook leading the grill, as a Cook you'll serve up flavour with speed and fun, for our customers to enjoy one delicious bite at a time! 

Some of your duties will include but not limited to: 

• Food Preparation along with using grills and deep fryers  

• Preparing made-to-order meals, keeping them tasty with precision and speed! 

• Uphold food health and safety compliance, keep it fresh and safe! 

• General cleaning and maintenance 

• Working across all areas of the kitchen including dishes, prepping, and kitchen hand tasks 

What you will bring to the role:  

Successful candidates will thrive in a busy kitchen and would ideally have:  

• A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service 

• Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential) 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

• The ability to work under pressure and multitask in a busy environment 

• Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekend shifts. 

Please note to be successful in this role you need to be able to work a variety of night and weekend shifts, which may include public holidays. 

A successful candidate in this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
