Opening Doors to Hospitality Careers
There’s something powerful about watching young people walk into a venue and realise they can see a future for themselves there.
Recently, we welcomed students from Hobart College and Sorell College to Wrest Point for a behind-the-scenes look at careers in hospitality. For many, it was their first real exposure to the pace, energy and variety that bring our industry to life.
Through our partnership with the Beacon Foundation, these experiences open students’ eyes to what is possible and the pathways available to them.
They also give something back to us.
Spending time with students was genuinely inspiring. They were curious, engaged and eager to learn. One student asked about apprenticeships. Another simply took the time to say thank you. You could see the spark and feel the energy.
